Pullip Dolls

This blog is dedicated to the collectible customization able fashion doll, that was originally created by Cheonsang Cheonha.
" The Pullip Doll ".

The Pullip Doll
In 2009 The Pullip Doll was marketed by Jun Planning in Japan.
But earlier it had been marketed by Groove in Korea.

The Pullip Doll thanks her name to a Korean meaning,
Pullip means blade of grass or leaf ( 잔디 , jandi )
She is has very recognizable features wich can be compared to anime characters. The Pullip Doll has a oversized head and big eyes. The body is small, about 9 inches tall, ( scale 1 : 6 ). This is also the size for many well known other fashion dolls like Barbie and Jenny dolls.
This was deliberately devised so that the Pullip Doll is able to wear clothes that also may fit these other Dolls.

The mechanism
The Pullip Doll has a special feature that is different then other fashion dolls.
It has a small mechanism in the back of it's head so that the eyes of the Doll can move from left to right, so that the Doll can wear different kind of expressions. This is a thoughtful way for a unique fashion doll.
Fashion Models are mainly known for their adjusting expressions to situations and scenes for modeling high class fashion designs. The Pullip Doll and her special eye feature mechanism can live up to this requirement.

Family tree
Throughout the years new Pullip Doll releases have been given out once a month.
Facts show that between 2003 and 2012 over a hundred different Pullip Dolls have been released.
All have been given distinct make-up, wigs, clothing, outfit, and a limited edition box.

Pullip had gained a little family tree out of these releases.
Other Dolls also in the Pullip style were created.
The male Dolls Namu ( tree, 나무 , ) and Taeyang ( sun , 햇빛, )
Taeyang has a little sister called  Dal ( moon ) and Dal's best friend is Byul ( star )
In 2011 the Dolls generation have gained a new member in their little family,
Isul ( dew ) who is Pullip's little brother.
